Hi - Sorry if this is in the wrong place, also tried searching for Muc-Off and got nothing. http://www.muc-off.com/motorcycle/
So has anyone used this is it any good, in particular the de-greaser, protective spray and cleaner.
Is the protective Spray as good as ACF?
If used do you have any tips.
Cheers

Think the opinions that this stuff is carp, I've tried it and its not very good
SDOC is recommended, as is another product which I can't remember the name of.
ACF or Scott Oilers anti corrosion spray are the recommended ones on here
Don't get ACF on any of your brake discs or pads

I use the muc off spray on cleaner and the miracle shine. Personally I think the spray on cleaner is ok - not great, but ok. The miracle shine is awesome.

I got a 5 litre bottle some years ago, and only have a little left.
It is a great cleaner (in my opinion)
spray some on allow wheels (car) and leave a minute or so before cleaning with sponge.
wheels come up great.
Does a great job on rear wheel of bike with chain oil fling.
I can recommend it

I recently bought a load of muc off products as my friend got me them at trade price but I must say I'm not that impressed with them.
I have a wash kit box and the brushes are pretty good, a 20 litre pump spray cleaner but that eats the stuff.
Personally I like to just buy industrial de-greaser and dilute it into a spray bottle.

SDOC 100 everytime. Isnt as harsh as the muck off, ie it wont streak titanium exhausts if left to dry. Cleans better too. We use it for all valeting jobs along with the ACF50 after.
May sound a little strange but I use make up wipes (we had loads of free boxes lying round in work). They work very nicely indeed, before that I just used WD40 & a cloth.

+1 for WD40 - cheap and works
I just blather any metal bits in it, leave it a few minutes, then wash off before using normal car shampoo to finish. Brings off most grime pretty easily

I have used Muc Off on the MTB and the Motorbike, on the Mountain bike it is OK, but not great. Working on the SV, the Muc Off was utter rubbish. I have also used Hope **** shifter, which worked much better, but is bad for your hands.
Never found anything better than WD40 and a cloth though for cleaning wheels, frames and bits.

S-Doc100 is certainly good stuff but it's damned expensive. I've been using the MucOff for a while now and it works well as long as you wet the bike first (mist it with a hose or pressure wash) and then use a vehicle brush to agitate the stuff once you've applied it to the bike and left it for a few minutes. Shifts all the muck from my bike without any problem. You just need to be prepared to apply a little more effort than you would with the S-Doc100.
Finish off with FS365.

I've got the miracle shine and it's good but super resin polish is better.

Paraffin is a much cheaper alternative to WD40.
I haven't tried sdoc100, but have just ordered some.

They are both polishes so I wouldnt use them too often, they are very slightly abrasive. I have the SRP and it is brilliant but my regular lotion is turtle wax nanotech wax, apparantly it's a hard wax and lasts months but it gets regular coats of the stuff, probably why I think Muc-Off bike spray is brilliant because most of the crap just runs off, any that doesn't is easily persuaded with a soft sponge and more muc off.
I don't see why ppl think muc-off is so bad, i've used it on all my bikes and get great results all the time, the chain cleaner and chain lube are brilliant. Infact i have just been out today and bought more muc-off products.

I tried Muc Off due to a Sales person telling me it was good. I started by cleaning the swing arm and rear wheel. I had recently used Werth chain oil, which is quite sticky and it had splattered on the wheel rim and when it came to washing it off, Muc Off did nothing. I gave it a good go, but it just could not cut through the mess in the same way that the Hope Cleaner did, what it did do was smear the black oily mess around the wheel rim.
I also used Muc Off chain lube last winter and found it thin and useless. It was probably great for the MTB but was less than great on the SV. The only thing from the set that I still use and like is the Helmet Visor cleaner. It cleans up the visor beautifully, so not every thing Muc Off is poor.
I also used Muc Off Teflon oil on the MTB and found it equally good to my favorite Syncros wet lube, however it was considerably more expensive.
fenwicks motorhome cleaner. once diluted it makes same as 10ltr of muk-off for £8 (spot dilution) and its better. the bobby dazzler also works rather well and does what it says on the tin. for normal washing i just add a cppl caps of the motorhome cleaner to the bucket.
i have washed the bike a few times now with the above combo and each time it's gotten easier and the mud and muck just run off now.
its also a great cleaner to use around the house :-)
I got the 2 for £10 deal at hg on the muc off cleaner, cant fault it, sprayed the whole of my bike in it then washed off using car shampoo as well, eat through all the sprayed off dry lube on my wheel and made my bike shine quite nicely, used to use castrol greentec cleaner as well which was good

What do you use for getting tar bits of bike metal? eg. exhaust

On the exhaust, bug&tar remover or autosol.

Paraffin is a £1 a litre, Muc-Off is £7 quid a litre. WD40 leaves a shine. It's all you need.

Pretty much says it all.
What about GT85, that stuff smells lovely, like automotive perfume? :smt007
Just remember to keep it away from you chain as such as they need grease.

OK one thing to think about here is a lot of this stuff is acidic/alkaline and as such its great for getting muck off your car paint etc. however it can damage bare aluminium of which your bike has plenty.
I think using a good soap is all you need but if your in a hurry and want to loosen some grime you can get muc off cheap (called no more dirty bike) for a quid from poundland.
ive used a lot of their stuff. chain cleaner (bit harsh imo but works) lube (good in summer like wurth) muc off spray, helmet stuff and the bike spray. out of all of it the bike spray is the only stuff ive bought again.
