View Full Version : What is the best all in one tail tidy?
Hello everyone,
I have been lurking for a while now. Brought my SV650 at the end of the summer after passing my DAS. Loving the bike (although I have some vanity issues with the size of the rear tyre) and getting out on it most dry weekends.
I want to improve a few things about the bike. Mainly tidy up the cheap looking tail with a tail tidy. I have looked at the R&G but it does not appear to include a light for the number plate. I want the number plate to be legal so wondered which tail tidy you recommend above all others?
Thanks,
Simon

My R+G came with a light so I would give them a ring if you want to check.

Evotech or Hamicad
Go with the Evotech. Just got mine and so much better looking at the rear end now. And they are only £56.16 and you get a free tourch at the moment with it. R&G one is about £70 for the same thing.

The R&G ones comes with a light and a reflector, but it's a bugger to fit. Guessing the others might be a bit earlier.
I have an evotech one too. Uses the original number plate light and looks very good.
I bought an R & G one few weeks ago. It came with a nice small number plate light.

I bought a Hamicad. Well made and easy to fit with not bodging required!
Cheers all. I will do a bit of research on the suggestions tonight.

I used R&G on mine and stuck one of those round reflectors to the top of the smaller LED numberplate light, hidden away, neat but perfectly legal. Keep an eye out on Ebay, Hein Gericke sell shop soiled stuff on there cheap. I paid £30 for my R&G tail tidy because the bolts out of it had gone missing, easily replaced with stainless for a couple of £.
