Spotted this while having my teabreak cuppa.

Any comments? I'm a bit concerned about the accuracy tbh. I only looked at a couple of roads very close to me and spotted two accidents. Both claimed that the conditions were daylight and snowing. Not unbelievable for the circumstances of a fatal road crash at all but, methinks, less likely in early September and mid August when the accidents actually happened.

Seems pretty accurate to me, correctly lists all the fatalities near me over the last 5 years or so. Sobering reading :(

I've had a quick look through at a few I've dealt with, seems about right. Always a worry though when they start using figures and websites like this, usually means they are starting the spin so they can justify something.... The reality is people die on our roads. The reality is that most motorists know that. The reality is that very few chose to do anything about it. All the time we keep spoon feeding the public that it's not their responsibility to stay safe then that isn't going to change.

Only 2 on Cat & Fiddle?

What was the justification for the average speed cameras that don't catch anyone then?

I like the stats they produced for the Nurburgring a while back. It showed very few were killed on the Ring, most died in the nearby village of Adenau which strangely enough is where the hospital is. I suppose that technically they are correct of course.....
