Hi all,

I've completely forgotten how to use excel and need help, I have a spreadsheet for engineers times and I have rate per day in 1 cell rate per hour, no of day, no of hours and total price, now to get hours or days working I need to change the formula each time, what I want to know is can I have it so they will both work without changing the formula each time?

Can't see the picture very well. Is it a case where you need to put the '$' symbol in?

Better picture and a bit more spec detail required:

Rate per day seems to come from a lookup but I can't see the full formula. If you're happy that it works then that's not something I need to worry about here....

Rate per hour seems to be the rate per day divided by a constant (named range) for the number of hours in a day. Fine....

Am a bit confused about the No of Days and No of hours columns. Is this manual entry as in I spent 3 days and 3 hours on this job or are you trying to convert days into hours?

Total price - formula looks like daily rate times no of days. So what happens to the hours?
