GMV – D&G

This year’s GM is to be held in Dumfries and Galloway, camping on the side of Loch Ken at the Galloway Activities Centre (GAC) on the weekend of

Friday the 6th to Sunday the 8th of July.

There is no bar or licence on site, but we are more than welcome to bring our own :smt030and to make use of the café area, which is open all night, this is a large area with lots of tables and chairs; this also opens onto a veranda. The edge of the Loch is 50 yards from the Café/main block. This building also contains showers and toilets for everyone to use, this includes the public.

The GAC café on site will be open for breakfasts, rolls and tea / coffee in the morning and stays open all day. The guy did mention evening meals but this will have to be arranged. Once we have numbers, we will give them some idea what people will be wanting for breakfast – a roll or full breakfasts etc and how many intend to eat on-site in the evening.

Castle Douglas is 9 miles to the south, which has lots of pubs, restaurants and take-a-way’s as well as a petrol station and Tesco’s. The other petrol station is 6 miles north at St John's Town of Dalry.

I have posted another thread to show who is attending. Please copy and paste and add your info – Forum name, Real name, and if you camping or fixed accommodation. Please book now, you have the green light!

Ask questions on here or PM me. Please be kind to me, its my first time. Please keep banter to the allotted thread. As soon as a route and itinerary are sorted with the assistance of carelesschucca, we will let you guys know!

Please come along and enjoy, or come along and complain, but it will be too late by then!:smt091
