My cousin dropped hes spotless sv650 :( Now the front fairing looks slightly bent
The bike was dropped to the right and the front fairing is slightly bent to the left. Now the question is what actually got bent? would it be the fairing itself or something else holding the fairing how would we tell because we cant seem to figure it out

Any pics to help identify the problem?

Check the forks and yokes for anything obvious. Then turn the bars from lock to lock and check the bar ends are exactly the same distance from the tank on each side. That will give you an idea if anything fundamental got bent.If that seems ok it may well be the fairing mounting bracket/subframe that is bent. Not a problem really but very difficult to straighten out and annoying if the bike was previously very smart.

Be wary of buying second hand subframes (esp. from eBay) as well, there are lots of bent ones around even when the sellers insist they are 100% straight.

The fairing itself is pretty flexible so unless you can see cracks or stretch marks in it, it won't be that.

If it only looks 'slightly' bent, it could be that it's just some of the fairing brackets that have moved a little, or that the sub-frame itself has twisted (as mentioned by others).
Easiest way to check is to simply take off the front fairing (Haynes manual is your friend) and check it over by eye.

Mine was bent when I got it. I put it down to it being dropped at some point. Never bothered to sort it out as it never bothered me.

Thanks for the reply folks.. Turns out the fairing bracket was bent... Took some strength bending it back but its real straight now \\:D/
