SV650s Fairing Repair.

I have a 2003 SV650s and have dumped my bike twice, i want to repair the fairing that I have scratched and cracked... My question is what could I use to repair my fairing, what kind of material can I use to fix it and where is a good place to get it? Also where can I purchase new fairings if I decided to purchase them instead?

What exactly is it you're after? Glue to stick the bits back together, filler for the scratches, or something else?

If you want new bits Suzuki dealers sell Suzuki parts.

My lower left fairing is cracked; there is a thread and it has some decent replies but I haven't tried any as yet. I went to see a local body shop who said he'd do it all and reinforce it with carbon fibre for a whopping £160! Sod that. When the weather is a bit better I will try and do it myself.

I just used a square of abs plastic and a soldering iron with large flat tip. simply squished the plastic into the crack like i was soldering, then on the nice shiny face, filled, sanded blah blah, then painted it.

you can get ABS glue type stuff of course, but not used it myself.fairly cheap on ebay.

Most zip ties are suitable I think i.e. to melt/stitch it with a soldering iron

If it's a structural crack you want to fix rather than cosmetic, then a fibreglass kit will do the trick to fix it from the inside (given enough layers).

Dremel to trim about a third of the depth oh the crack and then Qbond with some of their filler if it's really big. Let go off for 10 mins and repeat on the other side.

You would not believe the state my lowers were in when I got them off EBay for 40 quid. Qbond and a load of elbow grease with wet and dry and they are now the DBs. Pro paint job helps...
