2000 Curvy Minitwin Spec Race Bike
Converted late 2009 and raced for 1 season (7 weekends) in 2010-haven't raced in 2011 due to me being smashed up in sidecar crash!
Ran as a naked bike-belly pan and nose cone
V5 is present and in my name. It only had 8000 miles on when converted.
Front forks have 9.5 K-Tech springs and 20W oil
Battery box moved to front cylinder
Recently fitted low miles ZX10R shock and all suspension linkages lubed
Lightweight moto 46 rear subframe
M4 can and spare Deklevic-standard downpipes
Dragon Supercorsas with approx 2 weekends left fitted
Wets on wheels plus set of good Dragon scrubs
Good amount of spares-levers, pegs etc
The bike is currently semi stripped and will need completing-ideal for someone wanting a winter project.
Needs race loom fitting-not that much work-I have had motor turning over with spark so shouldn't be a problem.
I've started a 520 conversion-got front sprocket and removed chain-so needs 520 chain and rear sprocket.
Most of what you need to race is there-you'll need a set of tyre warmers and a front paddock stand-I borrowed these for my first season!!
Reason for sale is that i've decided to give CB500s a try
I'd like £1250 but not averse to some good haggling-i'd also like to sell as one lot-dont want to split.
I took this bike to Best Newcomer at NEMCRC in 2010 and it is bog standard Minitwin spec-never let me down-would also make a great track bike or could even be put back on road with daytime MOT, which is probably what i'll do if it doesn't sell.
