You just need to buy a 33 bhp ecu, there are normally some on here and ebay. I have sold mine, so can't help. Its plug and play, so very easy to install.

You cant remap the ECU to make 33bhp. You need to buy a restricted ECU. They are the same for years 2003-2006 and then 2007-2012 are different as the bike has 4 spark plugs.

Correct - or at least I've never heard of it being done. You can sometimes unrestrict an ECU with an at-you-own-risk snip the wire adjustment but it depends on the model and type of ECU.

Hope you can find one on flea-bay or herer as they are silly prices new.

K3 so it will be fine. not sure if i'll restrict it now... might just wait till the summer now when my restriction ends, i doubt i would use it much anyway as i'm living on the campus of my uni :-P

Glad your getting another bike mate.
But on a side note, living on campus is no excuse :p I had mine at uni and kept it just outside my halls. Plus, you have some great roads near you!

I agree with Metal Head, I went to Uni in Bath in 98 and had loads of fun with my mates bike, a streetfighter CB750 that we built together. My only regret is not getting into Bikes sooner, I was still a pillion monkey at that stage. :smt036

My restriction ends in April and then the old ECU goes back in, my restricted ECU though cost me a small amount on E-Bay and has been worth every penny spent.
