I'm advertising this on the org first as I have had really good support from the people here when I have had any problems in the past so thought I would offer it up to you guys and gals first.

For sale is my Suzuki SV650S. The model year is 2000 and has a ‘W’ plate on it. It has 24093 genuine miles on the clock that can be proved by numerous MOT certificates. It is in good condition for its age and runs and rides absolutely fine. It will come with both keys. The bike is ready to be ridden off today with no mechanical faults present. I have owned the bike since September 2010.

I am looking for £950 as ideally I would like a quick sale. It will be going on ebay and advertised locally in a few days if there is no interest here.

The bike is taxed until the end of February 2012 and the MOT run out in April 2012.

The reason for sale is unfortunately due to Christmas being more costly than I envisaged, I need some extra cash and can’t justify keeping the bike until my finances are in check.

It has a partial service history as I have undertaken the minor services myself (oil and filter change, spark plugs and air filter). I do have receipts for the valve clearance check at 16,000 mile and the carburetor balancing at 22,000 miles along with receipts for various other services in the past. I have also overhauled the carburetor plungers as they were sticking before however they now work fine.

The bike comes with Alpha-dot security.

Since owning it I have fitted some functional upgrades to the bike that aid practicality more than aesthetics. Here is a list of modifications that have been made to the bike:

LSL handlebar kit (already fitted when I bought the bike) - raises the handlebars to give a much more comfortable riding position. (I do also have an original top yoke and clip on handlebars should the buyer want to revert it back to its original condition).

Braided Lines – These were fitted with the handlebar kit (so we’re on when I bought the bike) but they are better quality than the originals and have zero corrosion on them, and they also provide a better breaking response.

Reg/Rec ugrade – I have upgraded the regulator/rectifier as this is a common problem on SV650’s. When I bought the bike the old reg/rec died so I have replaced it with an upgraded unit from a fireblade and not had a problem since (over a year after installing).

Motrax Hootaz horns – These horns are much more audible than the original horn. I have wired these up with a custom relay circuit so the switch doesn’t take the brunt of the power that flows to the horn. The original horn will be supplied with the purchase.

12v cigarette lighter attachment – Ideal for connecting a satnav or other accessories that require a 12v supply.

Satnav mount – Can take many popular types of satnav.

Remus Revolution exhaust – This comes with a flexible link pipe. It makes the bike sound amazing, however it is quite loud even with the baffle in (still road legal with baffle in). I will include the original exhaust with the sale should the buyer wish to revert it back to standard.

The bad points of the bike are mostly cosmetic. A few flakes of paint have been chipped off the fairing where the fairing screws have been screwed down too tight (not caused by myself). The screws till function fine and the damage is only cosmetic. There are also a few stone chips on the fairing that has taken some of the paint off, but these are very few. Obviously there is the odd scuff and mark that you would expect with a bike of this age.

The rear tyre is running a little low, however I do have a brand new one (Metzeler M3 Sportec) waiting to be fitted and that will be included with the sale.

If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message.

Thanks for looking.
