Hi everyone,

Just after some advice on painting my race plastics for next year.

I previously used some paint that my girlfriend got through some contacts at her work. But since she doesn't work there anymore that might be a bit tricky...

Are halfords rattle cans going to do the job? There's a good chance it's gona get scuffed etc. anyway. I have etch primer and clearcoat left over from last year...

I need to paint the tank aswell. Will the same paint do GRP and metal? Like eveyone else I don't have much spare cash to put towards paint...

If anyone can offer any guidance, that would be great!

Thanks

Race plastics?

Bondo and sanding as necessary to meet your desired results... Primer it as needed...

Go rattle-can HaPPy!!!

Take your time and lay your masking carefully...

Do your colors and number plates... Several thing coats work better, than a single heavy coat...

Then get a decent clear coat...

That is all you need for a decent paint job on Race Plastics...

:D Luis

PS: If you are after a professional Job, look for a shop to sponsor you... In return you will display his business on your bike, and refer him race and street customers...

i have painted many race fairing sets with good old halfords own paint - it worked for me! if you are doing the tank use the petrol resistant lacquer
