Fork tops cleaning/polishing?

The tops of my forks where the preload adjusters are. These are not very shiny now.:smt022 Tried to autosol them but is impossible to get right into the corners of the 'nut'.
Anybody that has seen my bike, knows I am a total clean freak! I use cotton buds to get into all the nooks and crannies! :smt011 Serious OCD when it comes to my pride and joy.

Anybody got any 'bright' ideas?

yup.. if you have one of those dremmel type tools from aldi then the use the felt discs. if you are going to use them with the dremmel then watch for splatter, start very slow and work the speed up but don't go to fast. you can also use folded cardboard.
