Well I registered here when I picked up my SV, but I've had to wait for my insurance company to reopen after they decided to take xmas off! How inconsiderate!!
Anyway got my new SV insured today, shes a '07 SK6, fully faired in very light blue metallic.
I race classics (at the pointy end) and ride classics on the road, so I've not had many dealings with modern bikes. Apart from the odd trackday on a bikes I've borrowed from friends, (Bandit/Ducati 999/Z1000)
The SV is to commute on replacing my old hack of a CD200 Honda!!! (fed up of 6v electrics and people not seeing me), and I think I've made the right choice. The ride is very smooth, and it just does exactly what it says on the tin, Suspension and brakes all seem very good. Slightly awquard riding position for heavy traffic but I can live with it.
The power didn’t blow me away but the sheer grunt/torque of the thing did, its such lazy riding doing 30mph in 6th, and then wide open throttle upto silly speeds with no fuss, no drama....
Looking forward to the next excuse to use it!!
