Just nipped out on a ~15mile trip for work, about 5 miles in I realised that it was nice and dry and sunny and hence gave it some almighty beans :)

So couple of miles of hooning later, start to brake and downshift for a series of roundabouts and noticed that the revs sounded a bit out as I was doing so (I tend to blip on downshifts). Then when pootling along straight afterwards I noticed that the revs weren't dipping as I upshifted.

Finally got to some red lights and noticed that it was idling around 2.5 - 3k.

Went steady rest of journey and it calmed down a bit, idling a little over 1.5k.

Journey back to the office, was ok for a while, although still idling around 1.5k, but once again when I gave it a bit of stick it seemed to hold the revs higher for longer.

I've checked the throttle and twist action is free and snaps back fine, what else should I be checking?!

If it had been a curvy I would have said a sticking cable on the throttle.

Rob its 2 cable on the pointy's too?
If it isn't that one of the sensors is out
