Well I'm in it to win it, and practice is what I'm deffinatly going to need practice to make it happen, but does anyone know how much say brands Friday practice day is as I can't find any prices on it? and does it just work like an open pit lane TD?
What's a practice day? Is that different from an ACU test day?

You on about the ACU test days?
If so, its usually by class (numbers limited) first come first served and there's usually a couple of mixed classes.
Cost varies between clubs and circuits.

Its normally run on a Friday, the day before the racing so you can get use to the track if haven't ridden it before, make changes to the bike ect.
I'd check on motofourm, i'm sure racers there will be able to advise you best.

You can't just buy track time on a practice day though surely. A Friday or Saturday practice will be part of your entry fees and only available to people racing at that meet.
I think superfly is on about something else isn't he?
Croft is supposed to be running a testing day on the Friday before our first meeting of the season (last weekend in March).
Just checked on their website and it says the cost for test days are £132 for 5x20 min sessions-so sounds like they're running it in groups.
If it's testing i'd imagine it'll be an open pit lane during the session.

Apparently I gather that the practice day is the day before a race "weekend" usually a friday unless bank holiday weekend. I have no idea if it is part of the entry fee with bemsee or not, but the way it's worded I thought not. I know it's only open to the racers of the event.

Ah, so it's like an extra practice session you can buy before your weekend only then. Makes sense.
Could you not just do a couple of trackdays? Or were you wanting to time your sessions as well?

Didn't know if it was cheaper to do practice days or as you suggest do trackdays there instead. As for timing well you can on td's as long as you don't shout about it. As they leave there transmitter on most of the time.

BEMSEE I believe the friday practice day is £100* and gives you a lot of sessions of 15 minutes each.
Generally the classes are more grouped than the races are to fit in more sessions.
That £100 is obviously on top of race entry fees, but I'm not sure if you have to have entered to take part - although it would make sense.

Bemsee test days before the meeting are between £100-£145 dependant on circuit. You generally get one 15min session every hour or can sometimes get 20min sessions. You get alot of tracktime though and unlike trackdays they dont red flag if you have a run off. The bike has to have numbers visable.
You can also book half day only testing.
If you are on a minitwin then generally you will be out with minitwins only. Sometimes 400's or Thunderbikes too.
You can enter the test day if your not doing the meeting if there is space available, this is what I will be doing on my new 848 for extra practice before bsb meetings.

You will love the 848, the challenge was my first choice to race in but just cost that bit too much for me. Might do next year if I'm not buying a house.
If you hold an ACU licence Mallory Park run testing every Wednesday afternoon (from mid Feb to end of Oct approx) at a cost of about £50-£60 for the aftrennon usually getting you 3-4 15 minute sessions. They run sessions for solos and sidecars during the afternnon starting at 1.30pm with a 15 min sidecar session the 15 min solo, 15 min solo, and so on. Pit lane is open during your session and depending on numbers sessions can be longer. A bit of a drive from down south but well worth it (as I race a sidecar it is the only place I can test regular).
