Get one of these and buy a ram mount for your phone.

I can't think of a bigger top yoke nut and drilling your original one might not be a great idea

the hole is about 8mm in diameter, but there is no room to fit a 14 - 18mm nut under the yoke nut.

Can't think of one, you'll need to drill it.

But looking at that mount, the black bit looks like it separates from the silver bit, which should fit into the steering stem once you've separated them.

Then put the yoke nut back on and screw the black ram mount onto the silver adaptor?

You'd have to see if a GSXR yoke nut was the same thread, as that its what is in the picture in your original thread, but that is unlikely to work as the steering stems are different lengths & diameters.

not sure what to do :S . just need a nut with a hole in to fit any of these sizes

13.3mm - 14.7mm / 0.52" - 0.58"
15mm - 17.2mm / 0.59" - 0.68"
17.5mm - 20.5mm / 0.68" - 0.81"

Having just looked at the top yoke nut and steering stem on my Sv, this is what you could do.

The silver part of your mount is supposed to wedge into the steering stem tube when you tighten the allen bolt.

You can't do this because the Sv nut isn't the same as the GSXR type yoke nut.

But if you separate the black RAM mount from the silver wedge part, and then pass the allen bolt from the ram mount through the hole of the SV yoke nut and use the bolt or similar thread sized nut and bolt the ram mount to the SV yoke nut.

Then bolt the Sv yoke nut back onto the steering stem.

Don't forget to put the thing that stops the phone bracket moving on first before bolting the ram mount to the Sv yoke nut

Doesn't matter as you're using the centre bolt not the silver wedge bit. I guess the centre bolt is going to be the same size.

Just go for the 13.3 - 14.7mm size
