Hi Guys, I can thoroughly recommend SIMMI Exhausts as I have just fitted one to my '07 650 and not only does it sound and look great but it was a bargain price! Owner Jeff, an engineer and racer, hand builds them and offers great after sales service and is a thoughroly nice guy too! There is a video on you tube regarding cutting the original pipe and fitting the SIMMI posted by an owner which is useful. However, his appears to be earlier than mine as the baffles in the pipe shown are only around the outer circumference and reccommends cutting 50mm from the weld. Mine being fuel injected has a Lamba Sond fitted in the pipe and the baffling inside is honeycombed to facilitate the functioning of the sensor I assume. I would suggest cutting 55mm from the welds as this should clear the end of the honeycombe making an easier cut. I have no association with SIMI other than as a satisfied customer and can thoroughly recommend them as genuine enthusiasts. They are based in Jarrow and can be contacted on 01207438489.
Cheers!
Andy

That "honeycomb" is the catalyst, not a baffle......although it does quieten the exhaust a bit! :-)

Thanx for your "Speedy" response in putting me to rights! Whatever it is, measuring that extra 5mm from the weld should clear it and make cutting easier.
Thanx again.
