Route looks good to me Dean. Provided the weather is clear then am in for Feb 26th Ice Cream run :riding:
So long as I have bought a bike and my knee is well enough recovered I would be up for this!...
Okay I have now purchased a new bike! Had a knee operation last week but I should hope I will be fine to ride by the end of February so sign me up!...

Whatcha get mister!!!
One of these...
http://i1069.photobucket.com/albums/u472/fac83ajc/cbr600-1.jpg
Picked it up yesterday, pretty much always wanted one! Loved my SV for the three years I had it (okay a year and a half of that it lived in my garage...) but unfortunately some car driver had me off it last month. It got written off and they gave me the same as I paid for it 3 yrs ago, so I got me the CBR.
Cant wait to ride it, my brother had to drive it home for me, was painful!!...

They're really nice, good choice!
I SO very nearly bought a carbon copy of that, decided i wanted one, finally found one, went down to the dealers, test rode it, liked it...
Decided to 'whilst I was there anyway to take out the Blade that was sat next to it just in case, came back nursing a bit of a semi and bought that instead.

Sweet. I'm like James I was going to get one of them went in to get a test ride at Avuss and the Gixer was sitting next to it, I walked out with the Gixer. Still think the sport is lovely looking.
Cheers chaps! Yeah heard mostly good things about them, and had also spent a good amount of time on a hornet which I rather liked. I was after a normal 99-00 CBRf but then I saw this sport at the right price, 19k miles on the clock, full Akrapovic system and I was sold :)...

I hope to be there providing the roads are in a decent condition. Apparently we are in for very icey conditions over the next 2 - 3 weeks :-(
I should be there, subject to finding out why the SV has recently p*ssed itself all over the garage floor.

Err there may be an issue with Sundays route just spotted on BBC breakfast that The Rest And Be Thankful is closed due to a landslide. Do we put a new route in or just give it a miss?
I wonder if there's any chance of it being clear for Sunday, if we only had someone with a helicopter to go up and check for us ;-)

No ladies yet but you're more than welcome to come along and change that.
I'm struggling for a decent route now. If the landslide is on the north side of the Rest we could be brave and use Hell's Glen.
Anyone got any ideas?

Good fun ride, slightly sketchy with supersport tyres on but it wasn't too wet in the end! Bike not washed but simply abandoned in the carpark, heh.

A good, enjoyable run to start the year - thanks guys and gals!
I thought I might slip into some sort of sugar-related coma after that ice cream - jeez! No food and just caffeine and sugar all day-I really should know better.
Soggy gloves are drying out on the radiator, filth encrusted bike is in the garage, still filth encrusted, ready for another filth encrusting week, and good progress is being made on the bottle of wine.
