Im partially just testing the water at the moment...
But i am very reluctantly looking to sell my pride and joy!

Depending how the interest goes i wont be looking to part with her for a few months yet, unless someone makes me an offer i cant refuse.

08 (08 plate) Sv650 S - Black - 6k miles

http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/4051/1171l.jpg

Fully Faired
Never wanted for anything and very well looked after.
Always Garaged, has seen rain but not alot and shes always been regularly cleaned and polished etc.

Very clean paintwork.
Full Service History.
Very recent MOT (about 10 months remaining)
2 months tax remaining (and i'll put 6months on if i get the asking price!)
HPI Clear
Very recently replaced rear tyre
Recent service - hardly done any miles since

A few tastefull mods

Black Double bubble Puig screen (and black screen bolts)
Black Beowulf Exhaust ( with the baffle in - fully legal and no affect to insurance) sounds beautiful!
Black Evotech exhaust hanger
Evotech Tail tidy
Smoked rear LED indys
Smoked front Indys (LED relay used - non of that load resistor stuff)
Colour Matched Suzuki seat cowl and infill ( pillion seat and grab rail included)
Black stomp grips that not only look great - are fantastic! (probably one of the best things i did to the bike)
Plain black tank pad

All the original parts included - exhaust, indicators, screen etc
It would be a real shame but the bike could be put back to stock if thats what you wanted

Warning stickers/sv650 removed - makes the bike look really slick and smooth

I'll also include in the sale a custom GP style seat cowl, bought it but never got around to painting and finishing it properly

(Click thumbnails for full size) they are pretty high res - unfortunately it was raining when i took the pictures but rest assured the bike is spotless!

Im looking for something around £3350, i would be open to sensible offers from a fellow Orger though knowing shed be going to a good home.

I know it may not be the right time of the year but im not looking for a quick sale as i said im mainly just testing the water at the moment - i welcome any friendly advice on price etc too

Any questions please ask - thanks for looking

I had my sv650s also 08 with just over 1000 miles only, in immaculate condition for£2800 and still very little interest shown and that was around November 2011.

at least a reply! lol
you recon im putting it a bit high then?
i've had a quick scout around ebay and auto trader and it seems a fair price for a bike in this condition/miles/ extras etc.
the only advantage i have is that im not in a rush, and i am hoping the market/interest will pick up closer to summer.

maybe i'll think about going a bit lowwer then, but im not desparate to sell so im not going to just drop the price.

cheers for the advice though, and if anyone else has any advice/ wants to make an offer then let me have it!

At the moment with all this doom & gloom i think £3350 is a tad high although its a very nice bike with extras, maybe around £3100, but like you said your not bothered about a quick sale and if its on here long enough you might just get what your asking for..Good luck with the sale :)

yeahh i think you're right to be honest, cant hurt advertising early though lol!
thanks again

How come your selling your pride & joy?

rich88

its a combination of things really, but mainly, moving job/a back problem.
At the moment i only travel about 10 miles each way so its not too much of a problem but il be having to move alot further afield in a couple of months and i just wont be able to manage daily long journeys so im going to have to give up the dream and get a car. if i could afford both theres no way id be selling...
i re-insured my old car over winter so i could keep the bike free from road salt/rain frost etc, but the car is falling apart and i doubt it will last much longer so i need to get a new one, not that i could afford to keep/run both anyway :/

fingers crossed i win the lottery before it comes to the time to sell... id keep her forever if i could!

Very nice bike. Probably not a lot of interest due to January being a disaster of a month financially for most folk.

Knock a wee bit off and Im sure it will go in the next couple of months when people get back on their feet and the new season approaches.

I have been thinking of selling my one for a few weeks and have been looking at prices and would have said yours was well priced, it's quiet because of the time of year! Mine went up for sale yesterday and although as nice as yours (hem hem) it's got higher mileage but I have put it up for £3300 ONO I certainly expect to clear £3000. Don't be too quick to devalue it, I shall watch this with interest though cos at the end of the day anything is only ever worth what a buyer wants to pay not what a seller wants to make! Good Luck.

Yehhh i did see your thread the other day actually and it reassured me about the price i'd set! No i wont get silly and drop the price, its been a hard enough decision to sell it in the first place so im not going to even entertain the idea of a silly low offer. Its almost as important she goes to the right person aswell as for the right price.

just a thought mate, I bought my sv650 in december 2007 whilst I still had a honda cbf600 - advertised the honda for 3 months running and it didn't shift.. Ended up trying again in may and it sold within 4 days, so to be fair it's probably simply down to the time of year, weather, people skint from xmas, tax bills etc.

If you can hang fire til the warmer weather comes then you should be able to sell it fairly quickly :) good luck though, looks a brilliant bike!

yeahh it was kind of my plan all along, but i thought it wouldnt hurt to put an add down early, iv not put in on anywhere else, as im not really pushing to sell it at the moment, and partly because i was hoping itd go to a fellow org'er who i know would take care of her!

and thanks!
