What's pitted - the tubes or the sliders?

You won't be powder coating anything that hasn't been completely dismantled.

I suspect you mean the sliders - but I think we should be told.

Yes mate its the sliders that have like a white substance coming through.

If they are really pitted (ie MOT fail) then its new ones or send them for re-chroming to someone like Phillpots.

Or spend £5 on Autosol, nick some green scour things from the kitchen and give a good few hours elbow grease.

If that fails then plan B lf powdercoat which is going more diddly and expensive

You can get them powder coated, and the powder coasting place should be able to prepare them correctly. However, you will need to strip the fork down to remove the lowers before they can be powder coated, and you will have to ensure they are spotlessly clean inside when you get them back. Any remnants of powder coating or grit from the blasting will quickly ruin your forks.
