I have for sale a set of sv650 front brakes. This includes the pair of calipers with pads; the hoses; master cylinder; resevoir; lever. All but the mounting bolts, as a friend of mine lost them, and the brake light switch (had to reuse that). Will ship with the fluid still in them so that all you have to do is bolt them on and rebleed them so that they are aligned and ensure no bubbles have gotten into the hoses. In good condition, never had any problems from them, am selling due to upgrading to GSXR 4 pot calipers. Would look for £80 posted.
Arrgh i just bought a pair of discs on ebay moments before i read this!!!!!
Doh!!

you in need of the brakes as well then?
No, but for the same money i could have had spares... You could get more cash for that lot imo!

i put them up a couple of months ago at £100 and noone commented, and if i got £100 on ebay i will still only end up with £90 with them taking a chunk of it

How used is it all? How much life left on the pads and how many miles done?

More interested in knowing how you did the GSXR calipers. Wasn't aware you could do this swap with the SV Discs. Did you need any other parts? Any write up anywhere?

They aren't very used, the bike had done only 6000 miles when i took them off. They are in good condition apart from a bit of rust on the connector between the pipe and calipers, other than that in good condition. The pads have got plenty of life left in them. The fluid has gone a bit on the brown side now as they have been sat doing nothing for about a year because nobody wanted them last time i advertised them.

It is a very good upgrade! especially if you have any hand or wrist issues it makes braking a lot more comfortable and you get a lot greater braking power from them, greatly added to with the carbone lorraine pads i have in them. You need to get an adapter bracket from sv racing parts. If you search for gsxr brake adapter on here there are several threads about them. There has been a lot of crisiticism on here about them but they worked perfectly for me. I don't know if they still make them though. Have a look around some other threads
