heya

just finishing of what's left of my bike, and the last thing is getting the wiring loom free, but the lockset is attached to it and i can't fit it through the hole in the frame, hence stuck.

my problem i think is the 2 bolt? that are shown in this picture below, but they appear to have no head on them? i have no haynes manual so can someone quickly explain what i have to do here?

Why do you want that cable out? It just unplugs from the line of connectors hidden behind the steering stem.

it should be a security Torx bit.
Is there a nipple in the centre

The ignition barrel? Yeh definitely. There's like 3 or 4 connectors in a line. Two are the left and right switchgears, the ignition, and I think the other is the speedo sensor. Unless yours has been altered?

Just checked and it goes straight into the the main loom no connector, it's not torx... It looks like a nut screwed onto a bolt, but the head of the bolt is rounded completely...

Hmm that's weird. Maybe it's been soldered in? No idea how you split the barrel though

Normally it is green connector behind headstock.

No point splitting switch as they are soldered to pads inside.

Hmm alright I'll have another look, but I'm fairly sure there's no connector...

I've seen lots of K3s, they've all had connectors.

If not, look at the loom, does it have tape about where the connector would be? Suggesting someone's soldered it all up (green connector corrosion issue?)

If no connector, how did suzuki fit it through the frame?

Those are shear bolts - they´re made so the head snaps off when they´re fitted, so they can´t be undone.

You can also drill the heads of the shear bolts and there will be enough thread left to catch with mole grips etc to remove them to use new bolts
