Enigma 1050 - Best of British?

Probably old news to a few but maybe not to some. Is anyone following the progress made by this bunch? I learnt of this today and thought, good on them.

I can't comment on the design considerations but I just love the fact that there are still British engineers and entrepreneurs trying to make something different and beautiful.

What do you think?

Think it's great. I own a Daytona 955i and I've always found it a bit of a disappointment that Triumph have not built an 1050cc sports bike.

Triumph have a very different audience now than they did when they launched the 1050 engine. I think a sports bike would sell if they pitched it as a sports bike for the road and made it really usable, because Triumph owners by and large are not interested in the race for the biggest horsepower, or the most advanced electronics, or the best WSB pedigree. Those people buy S1000RR's and the like. Most manufacturers have a sports bike and a derivative naked 'ala' Tuono. Triumph have the naked and no sports bike.

It does always seem like an opportunity going begging. Interesting to see if the Enigma fills the gap

You've maybe heard an awful lot of whinging about the few that have failed, in general they're a good strong motor.

Triumph aint as bad as Ducati on a friday

If they pull this off, no reason for them not too.
I think it'll be like a Harris or Spondon special of the 80's
