View Full Version : Anyone into movie making?
Fallout

Anyone on the forums a hobbiest movie maker, or have some long suppressed desire to be the next Steven Spielberg? I'm more of the latter ... so much so that I got hold of one of these, second hand, a couple of years ago ...

Maybe I'm too old for this crap now, but as a creative type of deluded fool, I still want to get my mates together to make short movies. Thing is, none of them are as up for it as me. I just don't know enough creative types up for writing some stupid scripts and making movies for fun.
So I'm reaching out to see if anyone else thinks movie making would be a laugh. I'm thinking an SV650 zombie apocalypse related movie could be the next big thing ...
In a world of horror and desolation, only SV riders, renowned for their elite biking skills, possess the courage to survive. Always on the move, only they have been able to stay 1 step ahead of the undead menace. Now, as a ragtag band of two wheeled warriors, this small ground survive as zombie slayers of fortune, riding to the rescue of all who need their help. :smt066 :smt098
Casting begins today! \\:D/

Can I be the grumpy old biker that ends up getting the hot Babe and going out in a blaze of Glory to save the rest of the SV team, and ends up in sex heaven?

Dude, that would be hilarious! I don't think amateur movie makers of our calibre can really make serious movies. So a heaven orgey scene is in! I'll leave it up to you to find the hot babes though. I don't want you blowing the whole movie budget on hos either!

AR12 Zombie Flick :)
Ride of the Living Dead
The slight flaw being that a lot of people choose the SV for their first bike and therefore entirely lack these elite riding skills, myself included.

I don't know what you're talking about dude. Sometimes I ride with only 1 hand. I've heard some mentalists on this forum even overtake! There's a massive pool of hooligan stunt riders here. :p
Don't need stunt riders anyway mate. There's an apocalypse to deal with. No time for 1 wheeled shananigans. :D

What type of home movie was this mate? Did it involve hiding a camera in the cupboard of your bedroom??
What would be worth filming inside a cupboard?

The type where posting them on the internet would be illegal as Im pretty sure she'd have been 17 in the earlier ones.
And No not hidden camera stuff, she thought quite highly of her self and didnt take much convincing to come round to the idea. It started with the crappy camera phone stuff then web-camera linked to PC and onto camcorder and tri-pod.
Quite happily used to sit and watch it back, which usually resulted in a round 2... Them were the days.
I thought the good times were over when the vids were discovered by a mate killing time on my pc, he did what all mates would do and promptly american pied the footage back to him and a fair few of our other mates... inc her brother.
Torn a new one doesnt describe the beating he took, nor the one I recived off my co-star. However once her reputation sored she soon came round to the idea of making more, these never sore the light of day but she seemded to love the thought that people were awaiting her next installment.
After our break up I deleted all the vids in a "get the bitch out of my life" fit of rage and for reasons Im not quite sure of I really wish I hadnt.

Dude ........ LEGENDARY. =D>
I would've done the same thing though mate; delete those videos like a man scorned. It's funny how exs appeal hugely as no strings attached fun, once you're over the break up.
I bet you went into your recycle bin about 38 times once you'd realised your mistake.

Worse than that I even shamelessly asked those who'd been sent the originals if they still had copies.

There's no shame in that. You're the copyright owner.

I've only liked the idea of making those sort of movies AFTER I'd split up with a girl. Ya know, when the nostalgia of all the good times kicks in and you wish you had a momento. This is why I get where you're coming from. ;) But no, not done it, and wouldn't do it. Seeing myself naked would give me nightmares.

On the serious side of things if you want to make a film, make sure you have public libilaty insurance and tell the police if you intend on using guns or weapons even if they are fake!
Its quite atm, so up for filming.

This post is useless without vids ;)
someone WILL have it Matt, you just need to bribe them with beer.

Of those who were sent it only 1 is potentially unstable enough to still have it stored somewhere.
He genuinley used to keep a "bribe file" on his PC. For a small sum you were allowed to browse the file but only under his supervision and nothing could be copied/deleted. I never saw it myself but I am aware that there was a sub folder with my name on it. Ironically the guys a copper now.
