Sustained three absolutely tiny, superficial scratches/chips in my windshield yesterday, each about the size of a grain of salt.
Worth bothering with Autoglass? Get the feeling they'll take one look and tell me to eff off.
Can't hurt to find out. Won't cost you anything and could potentially save you a new screen later on.
There's the possibility they'll grow as a result of vibration and the cold weather we're having, but no chance they'll go away, so nowt too lose by asking.

You see ships in your windshield.....I think you may have a problem getting rid of those pesky blighters!
Joking aside, do they affect your sight through the glass? Re the in your eyeline? We've had a small(large to me) at the top of the passenger side, been there for months, its not grown nor an mot failure, so it'll stay like that until we get one that is a bit more serious and in the way.
Our insurance provides chip or replacement in our policy, at a reduced cost, thing is, tiz almost as much to get a chip done, as it is for a full screen!

I used autoglass several years ago. I had a small chip in the screen just behind the rear view mirror so decided to call them to repair this as this doesn't cost me anything as i'm fully comp and mainly for piece of mind.
8 months later my insurance renewal arrived and the price had increased, because their was a claim for £50 on a windscreen repair. Now when i have a quote for car insurance I have to declare that i have made as its on the national database.
