well there's nothing particularly calendared apart from the obvious annual rideout & the likes of Glencoe Massacre which are very popular. I guess it's down to the members on here stepping forward and offering to organise something/put together a route with stops.

I did my last one in 2010 (yorkshire area) but since there were about 25 people on it, some how people got separated and lost, and then people started whinging and saying they were gonna crack on, split the group up etc.. I just ended up feeling like everyone thought I was a mug as a result so not bothering to organise anything amazing myself for the pennine massive this year. Might pop a post out saying "I'm going for a ride on sunday in 3 weeks time, come along if you want" but nothing along the lines of "I need a marker and a TEC and someone to help me organise stops" etc.

Ask specialone if he'll organise one for you, he doesn't strike me as a particularly busy or moody guy

As a new rider i'm very much looking forward to rideout becoming more frequent. What sort of distances are usually covered? if it was an all day thing or even just half a day i can see why it would be difficult to organise as you can cover considerable distances...

If its full day approx 200-230 miles, half day 100-150, a lot depends on where we go and on what roads, small roads arent as fast generally (especially for me :p)

I'm in the same boat, not done a ride out or really even ridden with anyone aside from instructors. Looking forward to a good 'ol summer :)

I have to admit the only person I've ever ridden alongside is an instructor as none of my friends are 'bikey'

Where you at? Must be somewhere in the midlands, anywhere near Leicester per chance?

I was the same when i passed, all but one of my biker friends are people ive met since, you'll be the same.

Just look in here regular and there will be rideouts, you may have to travel a few miles more for the start point but when youve just passed that wont bother you :p
