A mate of mine works for michelin tyres. Was at a do last week and Guy was supposed to be star guest.

His employer! phoned up at 9.00 am to say he was too busy to attend as he had too many wagons to fix, to come out to play!:toss:

Hutchy got out of his sick bed to attend in his place!

Not too much of a surprise he is not doing the Glasgow thing. Was a bit of a fan following TT3D but not turning up, is just not on. People travel a long way and spend money and to then not turn up is a bit of poor show.

Maybe he does have good reason for no show on these 2 occasions, give him benefit of the doubt?

Although im quite jelous that you met the living legend, I'd always be dealing with the thought in the back of my mind that "guy fecking hates these sorts of promo things"

Yeah i know its not one of Guy's favourite things to be being with his time. Think he'd much rather be tinkering with engines, racing, or bashing one out lol

Still nice of him to attend and have a chat with the fans etc

John McGuiness will be at HG on the Thursday 29th March. So i will be going to see the legend himself too :-)

It may be something that Red Torpedo has organised being one of their sponsers. There was around 200 folk there at HG and quite a few of them were buying Red Torpedo gear and getting it signed in the process!
