Just incase anyone has heard the rumour that Bike Night is going to be canceled for the first one of the year, it is not true. Tomorrow nights event will not happen on the grass due to poor weather, however it will be happening on the Prom, so see you there from six pm. You will know where I am, the noise will be obvious! Come and say hello to us and our Owl, Alby.

Not sure I am brave enough to call you a pansy! We plan to be there for the summer, so I am sure that we will see you guys soon. The ride back to Bristol when you are cold and wet is never a nice experience and I have done it far too many times. :(
Hope your first night goes well :)
Thank you, although we are looking at a rough start, I hurt my back yesterday and am not sure if I am going to be able to ride my bike down after all! :smt086
We will be blasting music though, even if I have to get a lift in the car. :salut:

Hey folks,
last night we had just over a thousand bikes at Bike Night, totally filling the beach lawns with both bikes and bikers. We also had a really cool band playing next to us which was fun and this will be happening several times through out the summer. While this is happening on the sea front, Scallys also have bands on and plenty of seating and bike parking outside too.
I am mentioning Scallys because they are supporting Bike Night again this year, the manager is donating a significant portion of the nights takings to the event too, which puts even more cash into the pot for the Royal British Legion.
So as always, there is plenty to do at Bike Night and it is all for a worthy cause. Last week Lyn the organiser was presented with an award by the Mayor of Weston that congratulated her for all of her good work in charity fund raising, Bike Night and bikers are being noticed and that can only be a good thing.

The weather for tonights event is looking dreadful, but it will be going ahead anyway. Don't forget that Scallys also offer a live band and good food on Bike Night too.
Sadly, it is unlikely that I will be able to make it to this evenings event, but Carol and the BRR staff will be there as always. :D

Hey folks, just a little warning for those of you who travel into Weston for Bike Night, the Police have set up a mobile traffic camera that loiters about by Nuts and Bolts on Winterstoke Road, it seems that they are aiming to catch those of us who are enjoying the speed a little too much. Don't forget that each side of the road has a different speed limit (although why going past the scrap yard is 30MPH and past the school is 40MPH I will never understand!) and they are waiting just by the turn from one side to the other. Can't name my source, but if you come to Bike Night a lot, you will have seen the person who told me wandering about quite a lot!
Don't forget, every Thursday night on the sea front and at Scallys Pub are the places to be because we are raising money for the Royal British Legion, which in my view is a very worthy cause.

Tonight at Bikenight is Goldwing night! :smt078
Please you lovely SVers, come and keep me safe from these perverts, keep me safe from the sort of people who would ride a bike the size of a small car! :smt040
Yes, do come and say hello, we should be on the sea front from about six PM until Nine, however if it is pouring with rain, we may make a run to Scallys early.
Scallys will be serving Hog Roast and good beer as always and will have a band on too.
See you down there you beautiful people. :smt041

It looks like it is going to be wet again this week on the sea front, but don't let that stop you. We will be down there as usual, pumping out loud and proud tunes. Last week, I met a young lass who on her own, rescued, rebuilt and resprayed her Suzuki RG125. It was a rotting wreck of a bike, covered in rust and broken bits when she got it, after she finished it was lovely and worthy of comment. Her next bike she says is an SV and I look forwards to seeing what she does with one. So come on down folks and make her welcome to the SV club.
If the sea front is not to your liking, there is always Scallys who will be serving hot food such as the usual Hog Roast. Each week they have live music on and this week it is The Ray Jones Band.
So don't be shy, do come and say hello, ask for a music request (although the wife wont let me play Death or black metal because it scares the normal folks away!) or just have a cuddle with Alby the Barn Owl. See you there.

Hey folks, this week Bike Night is being joined by Armed Forces Week so will be starting at one PM. Attractions include a few military vehicles, a lovely singer performing songs from the forties and of course us. Later on in the evening there will also be a rock band and the usual food and drink facilities.
Over at Scallies they will be serving the usual Hog Roast and will have a band in the evening too. If we are really lucky, the sun will even make an appearance, but I am not promising this! :D

Sad news to report folks, Bike Night is coming to an end very soon, with only four or five to go, depending on when you see this. ;)
If you have not yet made it over to Weston, do please come because we have had a pretty poor Summer season with lots of rain and hardly any bikes due to a lot of folks not wanting to get cold and wet or get their pride and joy filthy dirty. :smt009
As always, look out for traffic cops who have been setting up speed traps to catch naughty bikers who break the speed limits (if in doubt stick to thirty around town, just to be safe if you don't know the area too well), which none of us ever do because we are good boys and girls! :smt077
Anyway, if you do come down, do please come and say hello to us on the radio stand, you can't miss us, we are the noisy ones arguing over what makes a great song, fighting over who gets to put the next track on or laughing at Carol for having bad taste in songs!
See you there or at Scallys afterwards. Don't forget that Scallys provide food and a band every Thursday for Bike Night, which is jolly decent of them. :smt041

We are coming to the end of the season G, it all ends in September until next year when we start again. This year has been very hard for us, the weather has been unkind and so we will not be close to the £11 000 we raised last year for the British Legion. :smt061

Only two to go now, then it is all over until next year. At the last one, my bike has to be all clean and polished because it is Bike of the year, all of the bike of the night winners have to be gathered together and then the best of all of them is chosen. Time to get polishing! ;-)
Anyway, if you have been intending to come down, but have not made it yet, be quick. :D

This week sees the last Weston Bike Night of 2012, the year has passed so quickly and the weather has been wet and grim for a lot of it. If you have managed to attend even just one event, then thank you. Due to the bad weather and subsequent low turn out rate, the amount raised this year is going to be a lot lower than last years £11 000, but we hope that we will get a lot turning up this week to say good bye to the team until next year.
I hope to see you all soon and thanks for supporting Weston Bike Night and the Royal British Legion.

Right you lot, this is your last chance. Thursday 27th September is the last of the Bike Nights in Weston for 2012. after that, you will have to wait until 2013!
So come on down and enjoy the last one of the year. See you there. :D

Well folks, that is it for 2012. Bike Night is over until next year and the organisers are off for a well earned break. It has been a damp and difficult summer, but we have still managed to raise over £8000 for the Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal. Coming up soon, we have the Poppy Launch so we will be down for that one too.
For those of you who came and supported the charity thank you very much, every pound raised is for a good cause and I have seen first hand what the Royal British Legion is doing for ex forces people.
For those of you who could not face the terrible weather, hopefully next year will be better. See you all in 2013. Thanks again folks. :D
