Hi
i have decided to change my bike after approx. 12 months of ownership,
this was my first big bike after passing my test in December 2010, i have used this bike daily to work and back for the last 12 months (minus the snow and ice days) and it has been fantastic to ride.

reason for this sale is that my wife has started to come along as pillion, and in my opinion its not great for distance with the 2 of us on it.

the bike is a 1999 V reg SV650S with full fairing. Taxed end March, MOT'd til March (if buyer pays full price i will put it through another MOT).
49k miles, fender extender, heated grips, apart from that the bike is standard. Acumen Alarm, and datatag'd.
i have 4 previous MOT's and a couple of receipts for new replacement bolts, rectifier and battery.
apart from the rectifier, the bike has been ultra reliable and never let me down.

Any questions or if you want more photos or info please feel free to ask.

And now for the bad bits.
there are some marks on the fairing, it has never been dropped in my ownership, however a previous owner has been clumsy.

Not asking for myself, although I will be in the market for one similarly priced once I get Mod 2 out of the way.

Could I persuade you to sell the lower fairing and fitting kit seperately?

Hi Benji106
sorry, i'm going to keep the fairing on the bike as i liked the look of it when i bought it so hoping somebody else will feel the same:smt003

i will mention your question to whoever buys the bike just incase he/she doesn't like full fairings:thumleft:

You could always buy the bike, take the fairing and re sell it;-)

If you still have it up for sale in a month or so (mod 2 luck permitting) I'd be interested, the price is right but a tad far from me. I would also be happy without the lower fairing if it brought the price down further. So keep the thread up to date on the sale please :D

Hi punkyp

That is what I was getting at, in a round-a-bout way, assuming you still have it for sale when I pass :D
Although I suspect seeing it in real life I'd change my mind about removing anything, it does look lovely.

I thinK Huntingdon is closer to Norfolk where I live, but I'm just waiting for my re test on Das and also insurance to pay for my bike, car cut accross a roundabout and side slammed my bike last week, wrote it off! Not cool lol

Nope not me mate, not registed on
Mcn, and just a few bumps and bruises, bit of Physio for the back but could have been worse, wish I could say the same for my wee beastie. Wasn't much but it's done me well. :(
