Mlust admit my bloods boiling atm, radical muslims spitting in returning soldiers parents faces, protests going unchallenged by the authorities but challenging the EDL's movements.

Even the local mosques have banned these radicals and they are still allowed to preach crap in the street.

I totaly agree mate is wrong, and that wont change. The goverment are to soft, look at the hate preacher they wont export because of his human rights, so much for the law change a few yars ago to combat extremists views and depot them or prision.

If you want to live under sharia law please do plenty of country's in the middle east. Sadley the nhs and welfare keeps is to good to lose.

The sooner we ban religion of all forms (yes, I am a vicar and I said ban religion!), the better off we all will be. As for the EDL, they hardly make a good picture of themselves spouting racist views, attacking people at marches and having a leader who is a convicted football hooligan.

It won't happen by force either. I'm not sure what you might be saying in your post, but this is my interpretation.

Example.
Half decent area mainly privately owned houses, one or two council houses on the outskirts.
A secondary school of majority muslim gets forced through by the council on the doorstep of many thousands of rejections through petition and complaints from predominantly white British residents. The building had provided a centre for sports in the area...Gymnastics, dance, judo, karate to name a few, and home to the areas music schools. These were booted out to provide the school.
Houses go up for sale more asians move in, white or other move out, the asian area further down the hill gets bigger due to migration of folk not willing to put up with them. The asian area is a no go area at certain times of the day, as its deemed too dangerous, very few white or other live there, only migrants such as Eastern Europeans, as the area provides 'cheap' rentals.

The stronghold streets of private houses surrounding the school that refuse to budge. Surrounded by little green areas and park, the council decide that the park is not useful, and sell it.....to an asian housing association who are building 'affordable housing'.......can you guess what will happen next?

There is no integration, only a bigger 'ghetto' as some may refer to. The people who live in these places have to put up with hell, bullying(sometimes) dirt, filth, drugs, pop up takeaways and its rubbish, disrespect for their beliefs(but they have to respect the opposed belief) the original residents can't put up with it and move on, usually losing money on their homes, a general distaste for a section of society who don't live like British people forms.

It is wrong for so many reasons. It shouldn't be so. Bradford and Halifax are BIG examples of bad integration. Its a shame really. There are people on both sides of the coin that are good people, but when the example above happens, is it any wonder there are mass repulsion for certain sectors of our society:(

OK before I put my main point across I would like to say that extremists of ANY kind are, in my opinion, misguided irrational and very close to the dodgy side of 'normal'. In this thread people have railed against extremists from the Islamic faith, and I can completely see why. Personally I would also include extreme Christians within this 'possibly veering towards the lunatic fringe of this religion' and those who want to shoot people who perform completely legal abortions. I even knew an extremely fanatical biker once who ripped out the clocks, in quite a violent manner in might add, because they were made in Italy and his bike was 'American'!

Please people, do not equate extremists with people who hold different views to yourself and who are more than happy to tolerate and assimilate into the society into which they find themselves.
Of course, what these very few extremists did is to be deplored, as it is from any extremist position. But please do not believe that all people from one faith or country or culture are the same.
Legal productive immigrants should not only be integrated and welcomed, imo, in some areas we need them. Illegal immigrants do not get all the benefits and housing that some people think they do

I don't recall anyone mentioning in this thread about immigrants and benefits, if they have I missed it.

As I mentioned earlier, respect to normal Muslims who also condemned the extremists and banned them from the mosques, it's those Muslims who can do the most good IMO, police from within if you like.

This thread was about the EDL fanatics and Muslim extremists, it's not about other faiths, fanatics or extremists as they weren't mentioned on the program.


What really angered me the most was the one sided policing towards the EDL and the seemingly unwilling attitude to police the Muslim extremists.
I don't blame the police for this btw, they obviously had their hands tied by their bosses.

It seems they were frightened of causing racial tension but didn't really mind policing the EDL cos they knew they wouldnt get any flak for it.

The protesting on the 911 anniversary memorial was a ****ing disgrace whatever faith you holla from.
All those involved should've been deported, they don't deserve a place in this country.

i probably do have my head in the sand as in general we don't have much problem with racial tension up here, yes we have our scumbags that just want to cause trouble and i have no idea what it's like down south apart from the times i have ventured there.

as for the Armed Forces, there is always two sides to a coin. but yes there is no need for people to show disrespect.

i must admit i have not watched the program but i feel strongly about the subject of racism and extremists/activists. BTW my views are not unlike yours ;)

native or non native of the UK if you commit a crime you should be punished as in accordance of the UK law. only trouble with rounding up such people and putting them in jail is that you end up with other people taking their place, it's better the devil you know that way you can keep an eye on the matter but this sometimes causes sacrifices and puts certain individuals in a way 'above the law' (for a short while anyway).

Didn't see it, but I wonder if it's because the EDL protests are often attended by blokes who are greater in number and generally more likely to kick off and start fighting, whereas the Muslim radicals seem intent and generally pleased with winding people up and upsetting us?

My ex police brother and his colleagues in the 80's used to have fun with the Asian taxi drivers in brum, any they pulled over were told they were looking for car 9 as it was wanted by them, so this went on for ages, they always ask them 'you car 9?' in which they replied, ' no mate, not me, haven't seen it, I'll keep my eyes open for it'.

Eventually all the taxi drivers had heard about car 9 :)

(I appreciate me telling this story isn't very good but it was fecking hilarious when I was told it:) )
