Why are there lots of advertisements on Heart reminding sparkie's to declare income?
Are they as bad as certain bankers....

Any self employed trade where you get paid in cash I would say lol... not just electrcians, is it really just aimed at sparkies?

I know a plumber that at one point could have paid off his mortgage twice with the cash in his safe.

Just cos he had a load of cash in his safe, doesnt mean he wasnt gonna declare it at the end of the year.

What the hell do you do with loads of cash anyway? you cant buy any assetts with it, you literally have to spend it with nothing to show for it, cos if you get an audit and they ask how did you pay, you have to prove how you paid for it.

So some cash is great but large amounts are useless.

Really Mr Specialone... of course he was going to declare it ;) it wasn't the kind of sum you can build up in one tax year either lol

and what does anyone do with loads of cash thats avoiding paying cash?... your obviously to innocent, which is why you don't have two houses in spain and offshore accounts which require vast minimum payments just to open them lol (although offshore accounts have been giving him grief recently lol)

I could do lots with a large amount of cash!

First stop would be a cash machine to take a little bit of money out and then on to a bookies to make the rest of the money legit... Obviously not in one go, this would be spread out to avoid suspicion.

Nothing new here. They do target different groups, a couple of years ago it was window cleaners. Basically anyone who sells services to the public for small sums and can buy their raw materials for cash.
