Great idea, and for less than a fiver worth a try. We've got a leaky seal on my sons GSXR, lets see how it does.....

Its been tried by TRF members, and works. There is one called a seal doctor that actually snaps onto your fork and you twist it round, but that costs £15.
The budget version is to make your own out of a piece of old 35mm negative strip - I've used that sucessfully before.

Of course, if you fit gaiters you dont get crap in there in the first place

If a bit of dirst is in the seal and its a ptfe based seal (which it will be) then the seal will be scored (any scoring is bad and that tool will potentially cause aditional scoring). ok it will remove a bit of dirt but i dont think its a solution.

You cant say every seal will be knackered though mate, some people who've used this, claim 15k since using it and still no leaks.

One guy on the comments on youtube (i appreciate he could be a stooge) said about the forks on his goldwing doing loads of miles and convinced they needed seals. still going strong.

I disagree this tool could cause scoring, looking at it, its smooth plastic and if used properly and not ham fisted, i think it would be hard to make the seal worse.

Ultimately, what you got to lose, seals would be knackered worse case, so the end result if not successful, would be a seal change, worth trying for $5 imo.
