So the day came for which i had my beloved booked in at Suzuki for a recall fault to be rectified.. I cant beleive i had to travel for 50 minutes in the pouring rain to get to my nearest dealer.... but hey save that for another thread...

While at the dealership an awesome looking GSR took my eye, and although i had seen it in the magazines etc in the flesh i have to say i was blown away, i am confident, subject to riding one.. the a GSR will become my next bike when the time comes to part with Gladioli,

So just wondered what everyone else on here thought to the new GSR, and if it was just me who started getting all giddy and subilminaly thinking up excuses why it is acceptable to start looking at new bike just 6 months after buying my last one Haha. :p

I love the look of it although I haven't seen one in the flesh yet. The wife told me off for looking up insurance quotes just for something to do ;)

I'm too scared to contemplate a test ride, i'd be far too easy to convince

Haha, its not just me then! Only £6000 new aswell, they seem more than fair priced, so hopefully this times next year there will be some cheap pre reg's for sale

Yup, look good in the flesh. Owenski and I were very nearly tempted with a test ride last year...

I've seen them in the flesh and yes I test rode one a few months back. Nick at Johns of Romford is very persuasive. A few days earlier I also took out the Street Triple too. Both bikes are fecking amazing. Suzuki have got one great bike. Handling, speed, looks it has it all. Only trouble is Triumph have also got the same. Only difference is the looks. Triumph Triple fell out of the ugly tree and hit a few branches on the way down. Every thing else is the same.

So if I was to go and get a brand new bike then it WOULD be the GSR750 with out a shadow of a doubt.

It was me - http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=168369

Still loving it :)

Not much to add to the review I did last year,
In terms of a performance, if I only revved the gsr to 6/7k i recon id pull ahead of a bandit/SV - I remember buying it during the run in period and only revving to 6k and thinking this is way faster than my bandit.

It does have 2 sides to it, under 5k the engine is very quite and sounds a bit dull (even with a good can on it) but once you get it above 5k it really starts to make a noise (probably the exhaust valve opening up). Its the same in terms of riding it doing 30mph in town it feels really civilised and easy to ride but once you get it on twisting road and start hanging off a bit the bike really comes alive.

That does seem remarkably good value. Then again the Street Triple is only a bit more ;)

Yeah i have a friend who works at Triumph and keeps persuading me to look at a Street. but as was said on here looks wise the GSR is just so much better than the Triumph, I reccon if you put a Racefit exhaust on a GSR it would soon liven things up, I know they are expensive but well worth it. Anybody on here got a Racefit on their bikes?
