OK, I need some advice please.
I've got a pair of SV's one naked and one fully faired.

And this one.

Now I love the S but its power seems to be rather poor compaired to my naked. Now apart from adding the power commander what else can I do to the S to make it grow some bollox and go that much better and faster. I'm going to track day it in either April or May. Brands, Snetterton plus a few others. Time permitting. Too many other things going on at the moment.
Got a few quid to play around with so just need some advice on how to make it go better. Handling will also be sorted out in the coming weeks.

Bigger rear sprocket and loud can :D
the only difference is plastics = more weight and the naked will have a larger rear sprocket which may make it feel faster but will have slightly less top speed.
if it's acceleration your after then get a longer chain and a bigger rear sprocket for the S

Are the intake cams the same whether front or rear cylinder?

This
The naked is a good 5-10 kgs lighter than the Bikini faired
If you're looking for cheap gains the re-gearing is a v good idea, followed by an improved rear shock and fettled front end
A naked always feels faster, beacuse you are in the elements more than on the S. My N felt quicker than my S simply because there's no weather protection on it
The K9 will have the twin spark heads and oxygen sensor - did they put a cat in the exhaust on these as well?
The naked has an extra tooth on the rear sprocket which will help

The K9 has a cat fitted. There's a few things I need to do. Watching a ZXR rear shock on Ebay. Front end needs to be sorted out and then that's it I think.
Time for a rethink. For the frst time I have riden both bikes withn a short time. Normally itsa day or so. Used the naked bike for a trip out then in the evening I used the faired. Now I have suddenly found that the K9 is a much better bike. Smoother, tighter and a lot more fun. I'm trying to figure out why this is so much diefferent but just can't explain.
So, its time for the naked one to go, get work carried out on the faired and by maybe a ILF. So if you fancy buying my naked one then let me know.
