Hi all,
Need some good in-ear headphones for the satnav, was thinking of some Koss or philips marshmellows, but wanted to check if anyone has any other suggestions under £20.

Never had an issue with Sennheisers Link (http://www.askdirect.co.uk/Headphones-and-Mics/In-Ear-Headphones/sc1443/p6350.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=GoogleShopping&utm_campaign=googlebase)
Obviously CX200 < CX300 < CX400, but, they get more expensive as you go up

I am having good results with HMV Dots - about £10-£15 depending on whether in the sale or not - VERY tiny so dont interfere with getting lid on or off/being knocked out while doing that.
This is a review of the same thing - just not HMV branded

Heres a link to the HMV product

I got them as a trial, at a tenner (and I had a £10 gift voucher) they were worth a punt, and worked out just fine.

What do they sound like on the bike? do they cut out any wind/road/engine noise?

They block out as much as then Seinheissers (sp) I had once - so the same as any in-ear canal silicone rubber headphones.
skullcandy from hmv, brilliant headphones
I got some sony ones from Asda for £10 which fit way better on me than the more expensive skull candy & others I tried
Any headphone that is small enough not to be effected too much by your helmet going on and off and that you can buy comply foam ear pieces for will be good. The foam really helps seal the buds and blocks out a majority of the wind noise, much like ear plugs.

I use earplugs when on the bike and have helmet speakers.
Job done :)
can you get helmet speakers that arent already built into the helmet?

The dots are comparable with the Skullcandy ones - Ink'd Buds were my weapon of choice before the Dots

Yes, they come with my autocom
So that way I can listen to mp3, sat nav if I must. and even talk on the phone.
could be worse I could put a back seat and pegs on and listen to a wife.
On second thoughts earphones and the sat nav

Best for keeping the noise down.

I've had an autocom and the earphones were good but got on my nerves tbh, very difficult to get in the right place.
Im going to be getting some of these soon, heard good reviews on other forums and a fraction of the cost of uk custom ones.

I've got a pair of these, they were really cheap from Tesco, but even at 95mph down the motorway I could hear my music & sat naff no problem at all.

Yep, I have some but they're crap.
Obviously depends on which ones you buy though.
I can hear mine at motorway speeds( ;) )over the race can etc no problem at all.
I even use the earplugs in first as ive got the comfy custom jobbies.
They take time to find the right location inside the lid but much comfier than any in the ear phones out there.
I found the ones I've got, these (http://direct.asda.com/Sony-MDREX10LP-In-Ear-Headphones---Blue/000509682,default,pd.html). Not in that colour I may add.
There is the built in Bluetooth expensive option

Anyone know of any loud helmet speakers then?

Rob, you have heard my bike, im deaf as f**k, wear earplugs and can still hear music and satnav fine with them.
All depends on your personal hearing i guess.
might give them a go then and see what there like, think a lot depends on the music player you have

Mine get used with an ipod shuffle clipped to the back of my glove so I can used the controls when on the go or an iphone 4s.
Neither have issues with clarity or volume.
