If possible would any of you guys like to support us? Being an EX Sv rider i know how much of a great forum this is and i hope some of you can help out in the ride out.

I am pleased to confirm that the official launch of SERV Wessex will take place between 1000 and 1600 on Sunday 1st April 2012.

Murray Walker MBE will be our Guest of Honour and present us with our new Constitution.

The basic plan will be as follows:-

1000 A Blood Bike and support riders will RV at each of the following Hospitals where they will have a short photo op with a member of staff who will present them with the Service Level Agreement for that particular hospital:-

The Queen Alexandra, Portsmouth
The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital
The Salisbury District Hospital.

1030 The Blood Bikes and their support riders travel to Rownhams Service Station on the West bound M27 and meet other support riders there. Arrival times for the 3 separate groups should be between 1130 and 1200.

1230 The combined groups then ride into Southampton and do a circuit of the Southampton General Hospital with a detachment stopping for a presentation at the Princess Anne Milk Bank.

1330 Having ridden through Southampton and Eastleigh the combined group arrive at the Southampton & District Motorcycle Club in Eastleigh where they are greeted by Murray Walker OBE.

A brief ceremony takes place followed by a BBQ. Hopefully there will be some stands and an opportunity to look at others bikes.

The S&DMCC members will support us but we need as many volunteers as possible to help prepare the club and grounds on the weekend 24/25 March. Please let me know if you are willing to help.

A more detailed plan will be provided next week together with flyers. Please invite as many biker friends as you can – the bigger the event the more chance we have of getting the TV and Press to cover it for us.

Kind Regards

Right you lot, this is a great charity supporting the NHS in your area.

Ben and I have both been involved with SERV Hampshire since about September last year, him as a controller and me as a rider. This involves us giving up our time to ensure that urgent supplies of blood products and human breast milk are transported wherever they are needed for the NHS, without any charge to the NHS.

SERV Hampshire has now taken over the Wiltshire and Dorset areas (hence now known as SERV Wessex).

The purpose of this event is to:-

1) Raise awareness of the work that SERV (http://www.serv.org.uk/) does both in this region and nationally with the public and media

2) Highlight to the public that bikers are not all leather clad hooligans (most of the time) and that many biking organisations do a lot for charities

3) Let other bikers know about the work that SERV does and hopefully attract some new members

4) Have a bit of fun, meet Murray Walker, blah blah blah

Full details are as follows:-

Sounds good, but I'm a tart and only come out to play when it's dry. If it's dry, I'll head down there. Good luck with it all.
