great weekend on the SV after fixing the swing arm play the week before.
Me and pillion (girlfriend), and my dad on his Honda Deauville who had pillion as well.
Echt, Alford, Lecht, Inverness, Wick (dumped the bags), John 'o Groats, Wick (nights stay), Thurso, Reay, Bettyhill, Altnaharra (via the B871), Lairg, Bonar Bridge, Inverness, Keith, Aberchirder, Insch, Oyne, Inverurie, Kintore, Dunecht, Westhill (Tea time), and then back home.
Beautiful weather, although it was pretty windy in some exposed bits like the B871! but i guess it always is. Stayed dry and reasonably mild for the time of year and last night the sky was beautiful. Could have driven all night.
512 miles over 2 days. bike never missed a beat!
All it needs is a good wash and the chain tensioned a tad.
J.O.G is rank. its a horrible muddy building site and is an embarrasment to call a tourist attraction. hopefully the current building works will improve it though and will be more presentable when the tourist season kicks off.
