Ok, so I confess I am a geek! :p For the last few years, I have made my game development hobby into a self-employed business. I did some Android games and had some success, but living off it proved to be very hard (hence constantly winging in the many threads people have been making about being skint!). Recently I gained some sponsorship from a professional game development company and am now working on a PC title to be released on Steam.

I've just finished the proof of concept single player demo for 'Carnage' and now I'm starting work on the full game. Here's a promotional vid I completed today.

Anyway, I may spam you lot now and then as the game progresses and continue to whine with the rest of you as I remain skint. I know some of you guys play games though, so some of you will secretly appreciate what I do even if you publically mock me!! I KNOW THE TRUTH!!! :D If I can get some of the orgers to sit on their laptops play testing the mutilation later on down the line then that'd be awesome too. I may even add an SV power-up or something. :p

i don't game but i can admire talent when i see it. well done and don't give up. games are usually designed using a team of programmers and for one person to create a whole game takes some doing.

Thanks Bibio. I don't do all the 3D media myself. I can do it, but there are artists out there who will always do a better job than me. So the characters and guns are by a freelance artist I work with.

The original duke was the man. I didn't intentionally lift any of his quotes, but I played that game to death when I was a kid, so I've probably been brainwashed.

Well, you can play the preview demo right now. The demo isn't really representative of the final game though. It's kind of a gameplay proof of concept and also a competition entry. The final game is going to be very different, in looks and game play, but the general style will be the same.

Nice one. Don't worry dude. Normal people are allowed to be into games these days. You don't have to have 90% acne coverage and a speech impediment. ;)
