as the title says “what is the best thing you have bought for your bike?”....
my best buy would be my mirror extenders... I do a lot of London riding and they make filtering and heavy traffic riding easier and safer...

How does making the bike wider make anything safer?
Best bit on mine, nice rear shock and corbin seat.

Renthal bars. Made the bike a whole lot nicer and easier to ride. Much better through the twisties.

Renthals and risers, made a great bike into an awesome bike. :D
Go juice does not count, but if it did, I use premium occasionally in the hope that it will counter act my restriction and make me go faster! ;-)

really? I haven't found anywhere that gives the stuff away, my petrol account for last year was over £6,000, that's a fair chunk of change.
Cheers Mark.

I've found that it helps a little if you can see more than your elbows in your mirrors, so that couple of inches on the pointy extenders can make the world of difference.
For me, topbox - came in handy when I picked up a Yorkshire flag on a whim and fancied a chippy run last night on the way home.

+1. I've always had a great view of my elbows on theSV then I bought a bike with the best mirrors I've ever seen into, they might be huge, they might be on long stalks but you see everything behind you with no restriction of view. They take into account the bull horns it uses as handlebars!
Corbin seat for 40 quid was prob the best thing bought for the sv, contrary to those who might think I'd have gone for the shiny billet top yoke!:D
Map 2.
Stops it back fireing when you take the baffles out.

The quickshifter, every bike should have one!
I love my magnetic ash tray holder, makes those motorway rides so much more relaxing.

Mini indicators and rim tape!! :smt105
Probably the seat for my current bike but previous bikes has to be decent suspension then brake upgrades (assuming you have decent tyres and petrol!!)

On the SV it was the WP suspension front and back quickly followed by the bigger back sprocket and longer chain.
The Gixer for nothing bought for it I left it the way I got it. Had a Yoshi on it already.
The Street a set of PR3's the nice set of Arrow End cans were a nice bonus (thanks to someone on here for that :))

On the SV it was the ZX10R shock.
On the previous VFR it was the Maxton suspension. :smt041 :smt041 :smt041

My arrow cans, and pazzo levers.
So far, has to be a new cam chain tensioner which i fitted on Saturday!
My bike no longer rattles like a bag of spanners with a couple of maracas and a tub full of ball bearings thrown in for good measure...

Do you find the stomp grips make a lot of difference to the amount of pressure put on your wrists? I have been looking at possibly getting some

I know it's kind a cheating, but the best thing I ever bought was my first track day, at Anglesey.
Really completed things for me and was the icing on the cake in motorcycling terms (crash an' all).
Other than that, my Stebel Nautilus air horn.... always makes me chuckle come MOT time :)

Yeah. Made a massive difference. I notices it right away but it could depend on your riding style and clothing choices etc. Biggest difference was not sliding forward and crushing yer bits on every bump or hard brake.

Disc lock cable, stops me worrying about forgetting mine's on, which is quite an achievement!
I haven't bought many things for my bike aside from Renthals, tyres, fuel and reg rec so this ^^^ tops the bill atm! :-)

i have recently fitted some of these, and my initial impression was " a lot of money for what they are".
I have only been out for one ride since fitting them but i can honestly say that they made a difference, and the arm ache and pins and needles i was suffering from when riding was definitely reduced. I'm sure that after a few more rides they will perform even better.
to answer your question i think my stomp grips are my best buy so far!

They are good. No replacement for proper technique but they help, especially when 2 up.

Airhawk seat pad. Did 300 miles yesterday and no bumache, compared to 50 miles and I'm wriggling on the standard seat. Best £80 I spent on the bike.
