got a lovely flame effect flat panel fire..

however last night it stopped putting out hot air.
is it fubar? and now an expensive ornnament..
or can the elements or heaty thing be mended?
Have you tried restarting it?
Is it a Dell?

Yep sounds like heater element has gone or lost connection, most likely can buy replacements.

Is it a B&Q branded item or another manufacturer (eg simplex) sold by B&Q. If the latter then you should be able to get spares.
Last one of these i looked at one of the crip connections had vibrated off, worth stripping and having a look mate.

Is there any kind of thermostat inside that needs resetting...?

I don't think he should be stripping. It'll be cold enough as it is without getting naked and fiddling about with his tool while he has a look.

Apparently Mandy no longer needs the fire fixing as it is going to be nice and warm in the Bahamas with the life insurance.
Full money cossie now, she will no longer need to scrimp to a bikini version.
