inurance thing I never knew ???? is this a new idea?

insurance is due.
was going to go with motorcycle direct..

Aviva policy..

but when I called to clarify a few details..

excess is £250 if nicked from my garage..

However if away from the garage - say a camping weekend or parked up in town.. an extra £250 is applied.. ????

is it a new thing??

or has it always been the case and I have never noticed..

That's a new thing or a stupid advisor. it's usually if it's nicked from your garage it's £250, if it's nicked from within 300 yards of your garage and it wasn't locked in your garage then the excess is £500 - it's basically to stop you being lazy and leaving it on the road after cleaning it or whatever.

Then again maybe it's changed, wouldn't surprise me. I possibly heard aviva were going to outright stop insuring pillions (or was it mods?), could be hearsay/MCN but probably worth checking you included pillion cover too....and mods if you have them
