Hi Guys

I have a Garmin Zumo 550, had it for a couple of years and think it's fantastic.

I've used the Garmin routeplanner software that came with it (Mapsource) but have to uninstall it from my (work) laptop when finished, now I cannot find the disk.

I managed to find a acopy of it from the internet but there are no maps on it, I'm sure I remember in the past I had to copy the map from the sat nav to the computer but can't remember how to and can't find an answer.

And so I turn to you mighty org, can you help?

No answer yet but thank you very much for trying, Just using the Garmin 'BaseCamp' software for now. It's not too different but you have to plug your satnav in to your computer to use it as it reads the map from the device and is slower than a really slow thing that's being restrained.

Me and Grunty are off for a week on the bike from Friday morning so needed to get the routes planned and saved to the unit.

Thanks again

I believe there is a download from the Garmin site. I'll check the name in the morning. You plug in the sat nav, run the 'garminmapupdater.exe' or whatever it's called (think it requires Dotnet4) and it takes you to the download centre. You're then prompted to 'find device' and click proceed and then provide the serial number from the sticker under the folding bit near the mounting contacts (I think, it was a while ago).
