View Full Version : Anyone recommend good roads down to Brighton?

Hey all,

Heading down to Brighton tomorrow to see my Uncle's gig and wondered if anyone could recommend some good roads to go down? I'm not actually heading from the Midlands this time as I am at my Grandparents in Waltham Abbey, Essex.

I know its short notice but any suggestions would be appreciated !

Might be worth putting a post in the Essex section, more chance of a result there I would think.

I can get you as far as high Wycombe with good roads.

From Northampton go on the A508 to the stony Stratford roundabout.
Then a422 to Buckingham
A413 to Aylesbury
A4010 to high Wycombe

There is a better route over to MK which takes you into wolverton but as you are going such a long way it's not worth it I don't think. Plus it's easy to describe that way.

How did it go? Did you take that route?

Incase you ever need to go to MK.
You can also turn right off the Newport Pagnell road earlier towards Hartwell if you wish. Whereabouts in Northampton are you?
