As above I've been offered, anyone know whether it would be a good upgrade for a heavy rider like me And anyone know about the facts and figures for them
Thanks
Josh
if the length is right and the top eye is the correct diameter then all you would need is a bottom fork to fit the sv as looking at one its an eye on the bottom. also looking at the pictures of one it looks like it would drop straight in if you got the bottom fork.
if your getting it for nowt than go for it as it must be better than the stock sv one

I'll be paying for it, but don't know how much yet. By bottom fork is that the linkage you mean? The fella said that he used it for 4 rounds of minitwin racing and it just fitted fine, but god knows if it would be a better a shock than a zx10 one since it is an aprilia one
Search for a thread by daviesv, he fitted one I believe
if he has used it for minitwin on an sv then he must have already done the lower fork swap.
the weight depends on what spring it has on it.
It kinda begs the question , " if its any good ,why is he getting rid "?

cheers dyzio.,
latest pm from seller
it was off a 2004/5 rsv mille the length from eye to eye centre is 345mm about 10mm longer i am just over 11 stone kitted up and it was used on a k6 which i converted for minitwin racing, it jacked the back end up a bit and was stiffer and had adjustment for what i needed
so not sure if anything would have to be moved/cut
if you pm your email i,ll get some pics to you
i was looking for £75 delivered
see now im about 18 stone kitted up, so idk if its any good, and from daviesv's thread he had to machine a part to link it up, which i cant do
the clevis on the bottom of my nitron looks the same thread size as the pictures that Davie put up if Davie could give us the tread size i can check with my shock. if its the same then nitron would more then likely supply a clevis.

there it is
looks good, cant see why it wouldnt be any good my father run the same shock on a mille for a couple of years and he had no probs (any he was 17 stone kitted and was carrying pillion)
the reason im getting rid is because a few months ago i spent £750 on a maxton shock for racing
it is a straight forward swap using all the standard linkages the only thing i had to do was put two shims in at the top mount and i think i still got them
with the latest from the seller, im thinking i should take it, just will standard bottom bolt and linkage work ?
what do you guys reckon ??
could need a service, could be just the ticket, could bounce you out the seat, it's a chance you'll have to take. if it works as well as it looks then it's a bargain. must be better than the kangaroo special that suzuki fitted to the sv or not.

hmm maybe, but if it makes it worse i could sell it back on for the same price. Daviesv seemed to get on with his verywell, and the guy did use it for 4 rounds of minitwin racing so cant be that bad

If you give £30 notes for it its not the end of the world if it don't suite .

Yeah I read the other thread, he seemed very happy with it, and in the pictures you can see it all ready has the clevis, but if I'm honest I don't understand all the number parts of it all :?

By devil you mean, be a evil kineval? Haha someone else has tryed it and it worked, worth the risk, and yc doesn't know it yet but he'll be the one fitting it and setting it up when he does my forks, cause I have no clue about sag ect

Not tried others no, been reccomended the zx10r and zzr14 ones but can't find any in the right year. I'm after a straight forward swap, do I don't have to mess round cutting my bike

It's the 2006/07 one
so its 7mm longer than stock so you might have to swap the dog bones? and harder(A good thing)

I do believe it's just as simple as removing the heat shield from the tool kit, and using a kwak bottom bolt
its all hear
