I had road attacks on my v-strom. They were great tyres.
But BT023's are supposed to be fantastic.

Had Conti Road Attack's on the curvey . They were ok, but ...you did notice the transition from the soft to hard compound in the cold and wet

I have PR3s on my Versys, at first I loved them but I've found they wear funny at the rear and now they are worn the wet weather grip has gone proper downhill. They've been run at the correct pressures but have shaved off the leading edge of the tread and are almost down to 1mm at the sides with about 4mm of tread in the centre. I've also noticed that they've squared off surprisingly rapidly, despite me taking a route to work that eliminates about 8 miles of dead straight road.

When I fitted them I expected to get about 8K miles from the rear, but it looks like it'll be shot in around 6K - the front is still like new. I got that sort of mileage and more from BT023s on my old FJR1300, so I think the Versys will be getting them next time, because they gripped like they should do right up til they were almost treadless and completely knackered.

For an expensive tyre that made a lot of promises, the PR3s just really haven't impressed me at all.

Got bt023's on my CBR now and am loving them, pretty good in any condition! I used to have Pirelli diablos on my SV which were amazing in the dry, ok in the wet. Unfortunately they also wore and squared off quickly and the front didn't last anywhere near as long as I would have hoped...

So, bt023's is my suggestion!...

Dunlop Roadsmarts, I prefer them to the Avon Storm Ultra II's
