As per my other newbie thread, I am introducing myself here too. I'm Stew, live in Huntingdon, just got a 2003 SV650. Mod2 is booked for 11th May. Can't wait to get out on the roads properly.

I'd welcome you to the mad house, but, you obviously have lived in the area for a while...

Anyway, welcome all the same

Hello again!!

Hopefully one of these awesome, god-like and sexy examples of male kind that are the EAR will organise a rideout soon and you'll get to meet them. They're an ok bunch really :p
Unfortunately my work/mothering schedule means I dont get near my bike very often at the moment :-(

Nothing wrong with a sex pest...lol.

I've lived in Huntingdon for 8 years...damn...Thankfully I've not been infected with what ever is in the water around here :)

Good luck with your mod 2! Fancy a ride along the B660/B645 when you pass? Lots of fun to be had on those roads!

Definitely up for a 660 run. Been meaning to do the whole route for ages, but so far only managed small sections.

Well, to further this thread on, I'm proud to say that today, my friend and I both passed the Mod2 test and are now officially bikers. Well, me more so than him because I have a bike, which I got insured as soon as I got home, and went for a ride down some of my favourite roads. To say I was grinning from ear to ear is the understatement of the year.

Congratulations! Looks like you passed just in time for the first half decent weekend for ages! :D

Anyone up for a mini-rideout starting from Grafham Water in the not too distant future?

Would like too, but my calender is bleedy full for the next few weekends

Well I thought I'd update again:

Had a ride out on Sunday with my neighbour and a bunch of others he knew. Did near 250miles riding in some gorgeous weather, down to Clacton and Finchingfield etc. Great day riding, got more of a feel for riding, and picked up some tips n stuff from the others.

Also learned that having someone crashing right in front of me, into a ditch/hedge/trees/bush, is a scary damn experience. Thankfully he was ok, but his bike was trashed.

Glad you're having some good experiences on the bike.

Sorry to hear about one of the guys on the ride out crashing. If you think that is scary you should try crashing yourself (don't, it hurts!)

Anyway, keep on riding and stay safe, you'll get "that feeling" you're looking for then
