Whats double bubbles are best?

Regarding wind deflection, no buffeting etc etc

Im looking a tinted screen and want a double bubble for bit more wind coverage. I do quite a bit of touring so dont want a screen that buffet's either as solo or two up.

All advice welcome

Thanks

I would be really interested in any comments about buffeting 2 up.

Well I just got an MRA db screen and find it worse than stock. I'm 6ft tall if that makes any difference.

I find it noisier too. I haven't gone on a proper run though, just the short trip to work so don't know what its like at higher speeds.

It does look good though....

I have a Puig, lovely screen even with the bar conversion that puts my bars up by six inches.

+1 for the Puig. Looks great and reduces buffeting at higher speeds. I'm only 5'8 and previously found that the standard screen allowed the airflow to catch me just above my visor. The DB screen is an improvment looks-wise but also deflects the air just clear of my head now. Much better

Recently fitted Skidmarkx DB light tint screen.

From Skidmarks website:
'These have been designed in conjunction with teams such as BSB Champions Airwaves Yamaha and Superstock Champions TAS Relentless Suzuki, where a taller screen was requested for the race track.'

I'm 5'11'' and it has reduced motorway speed buffeting to some degree but will never remove it completely.

A little, but not so much that riding at speed is uncomfortable. My back side usually gives out before the rest of me. Sitting up right only gets hard work at track speeds above 110, however if I was going to do those speeds a lot, I would probably be best off putting the clip ons. :---)

Hi, Screen height is all relative to your own height and riding stance. These DB screens are really for race bikes and riding in a crouch position. Check where wind hits you at ypour normal cruising speed by holding your hand in front of you as you ride and raise it till you feel it in turbulence. This is normall around chest height so your head is in clean air and your helmet does its designed job of smoothing air flow. A DB screen can raise the level of the turbulence to just where your head is! so you need to crouch to get in the still air behind it. Most people fit them for looks.

i got my tinted airblade one for my pointy as it was only 20quid inc postage on ebay. Tbh, it didn't fit great but with a dremmel its much better now and noticeably better at deflecting airflow over your head than the standard screen. Hardly any buffeting, i'm quite chuffed with it, for the price that is. If i was paying £35 or more i'd go with what other people recommend as they are probably even better.

Cheers for the replies.

''WIMPS'' Im 6'2''. goin to give your method of turbulence testing a go. I also want the screen for looks, but im not goin to spend money to look better and it end up causing more annoyance than its worth.
