I'm sure I've just seen Mike Tyson wearing some knee-sliders riding a bicycle through a red light whist talking on his mobile phone, trying to light an e-cig and attempting to keep up with a Lamborghini Gallardo wot woz avvin a race.

Urgh, bleddy rain. Stupid hosepipe ban gets introduced cos everyone south of us is a drama queen and surprise, the wet stuff's not stopped falling since and now the roads are flooding and I've had one dry ride to work in all that time.
Yours Soggily
Maria

Nope, my kit kept me pretty dry I'm pleased to say, apart from my gloves but they didn't fair too badly. Just doesn't make for the best riding conditions in the world, especially when some inconsiderate barsteward decides to dump diesel all over the road for 8 miles making you ride slower when you'd just like to get home

That's because you live in an affluent[effluent] part of the world where people have that much money they can waste it by throwing it on the roads

But, when it does stop..........
The recently aquired SV has had a big service with v-c's checked and new C&S, I've fitted the refurbished forks (bought from SVMonkey on here, ta) with some new Michelin PR3's (nicely scrubbed in at Snetterton t-d) and it passed it's MOT yesterday, no problems. It's full of petrol.
The Ducati's just had it's new back wheel (recall ) and while they had it I got them to bin the Pirelli Diabolicals and fit some SportSmarts. It too is full of petrol.
I've spent most of today cleaning the Defender. It's now full of diesel.
So.........my next job (barn conversion) is a bit delayed and I think I'll clear off to Scotland. The wife's got a couple of girly nights out organised next week so I'll have to go alone (what a shame)
So the question is, do I go on the Ducati or the SV and B&B it?
Or in the Land Rover and chuck all the camping/fishing gear in?
I had considered trailering a bike up there but I can't be bothered. At the moment I'm leaning toward taking the SV and doing some of the (very easy, see photos) forest gravel trails through Kielder and the Galloway Forest, then Portpatrick for some seafood/Guinness in the Crown Hotel overlooking the harbour.
Has it stopped raining yet?
If yer going to Portpatrick, give us a shout, means you will be extremely close to me!

I don't think the thread is aimed at you fella i think its just a comedy view of a few threads to make light of the boredom caused by the weather we are having at the mo ;)
