SV1000 Shock in my 650, are these stiffer or the same sort off specs?

Recently bought an sv650 2005 which has an sv1000 shock in it but im just wondering are these stiffer or shorter/longer as i dont want to mess up the handleing off the bike so thinking i should get myself a proper 650 shocker
