Right,
Thought it would be good to get all the photos in one place to stop them getting lost in the chat thread.
My photos are starting to be uploaded here:
Le Carnage Photobucket Album (http://photobucket.com/LeCarnage)
I'm being lazy and I really can't be bothered to do any editing / checking so there's just a bulk upload including the crap ones. Might tidy it up when I can be bothered.
Cool stuff, cheers mate :)

Like this for some reason - and the sea ones.
Will check my phone for pics shortly.
I have some on my phone. If people don't have an issue with their number plates I can add to Photobucket also? Or just distort them afterwards?

Held it really tight against my topbox on a 2 second exposure, took about 3 attempts to get one that was reasonably sharp.

When we were crawling around like school boys at Pointe du Hoc Colin decided to clamber down to an encasement near the edge of the cliff. Phil & I took some pictures of his descent as we thought we thought we would capture his final moments.

Photo taken on D+2, after relief forces reached the Rangers at Point du Hoc. The American flag had been spread out to stop fire of friendly tanks coming from inland. Some German prisoners are being moved in after capture by the relieving forces. 8 June 1944

That is very cool. To be able to see what I was clambering over as it was on D+2.
Also answers a question I was posing to Phil at Arromanches, "I wonder how far the cliff edge has eroded back since 1945".

Wow! So we met the lady herself!! The first child to be liberated in France. I wasn't arguing, I believed you, I just thought when I met her that she had to be English not French, as she spoke such perfect English with a proper Queens English plum in her mouth.

That said most British people can tell my wife is foreign, but they can't place her as being French. The same goes for my best mates wife who introduced me to my wife, however when my mate first bought her back to England she didn't speak a word. He's spoken English about 4 years longer than her and you can't mistake ze French twang. So it's just about how much effort you put into perfecting your accent. Some people want to get it perfect, others are happy so long as they are understood.
I found it very funny when the guy at the Creperie said he never heard an English person speak like a perfect Picard.

Forgot to tell you guys, when me and Clair were talking to her, she asked us where we were from and said castle bromwich.
She knew it well as well as kings Heath in brum, she'd obviously been before.
Interesting lady, wish I would've read that piece of rustys before going there, would've been interesting to ask her some more stuff.

I didnt immediately twig but it explains the hospitality extended to a group of grubby bikers. It's cos we're Brits.
It must have all seemed worthwhile when she saw Numbers stuffing bread rolls down his face ;-)
.....i hope we left a decent tip
